                                      ROOM TEN (formerly room 5)

In Room Five we are Year 3 and 4.  Our teacher is Miss Norris.  Come and have a look at what we have been learning in Room 5.

                                      Pahiatua Mural

In Room 5 we had a visiting artist called Mr Hewitt.  Together we have made a Mural of Pahiatua.  We each drew a choosen building from around Pahiatua, and then Mr Hewitt transferred them onto our Mural.  We are now in the process of painting the different buildings.  It is looking fantastic.  Thank you Mr Hewitt for your time and expertise.

                                      HOUSES

We have been building lots of different houses in class.  They are igloos, mudhouses, cardboard houses, thatched roof houses and rock houses.  Here are a few videos the houses we have made.

                                      WRITING

At writing time we read the Dr Seauss book Scramble Eggs Super!  We then decided that we would make up our own imaginary bird, and then write in rhyming words - like Dr Seuss - a paragraph to go with our nonsense bird.  We worked with our learning partners.

                                      The Oomered-Broomered-Zoomered Bird

                                      Picture

We searched and searched, coming up a huge mountain.  At the tip of the mountain there was a bird, three times bigger than me.
It was the Oomered-Broomered-Zoomered Bird which lays it's eggs on the move.

                                      Picture

We found it on Hippity Hoppity mountain.  Well we found the purple eggs, the same colour as it's legs.  Yes - there she was a laying, she sounded like a horse, a neighing.  It was the Slippity-Tippity bird.

                                      The Inga-McGinga-Singa-Ginga Bird

                                      Picture

In the beginning there was a bird, named the Inga-McGinga-Singa-Ginga bird.
The birds, they laid, pink eggs with green, yellow and blue spots.
It is a bird that lives in the Singing-Minging Forest, with all the other Inga-McGinga-Singa-Ginga birds.
